MGES is a one-stop, turn-key solution for the installation of EV charging stations.

MGES will do the following for EV charging:

1) Design

2) Engineer

3) Provide all hardware and software(including “specifically branded” EV charging stations)

4) Install

5) Incentives: Provide guidance on incentives


Incentives for the State of Missouri:

1. Federal: 30% (Tax Credit)

2. State (MO DNR): 80% (Grant)

3. Ameren A: $20,000 per DCFC Station (Fixed Fee)*

4. Ameren B: 50% of Total Project Costs (Qualified Workplaces)*

*Numbers 3 and 4 are for qualified Ameren customers only.

Tax Credit for DCFC-EV Charger Tax Credit for Businesses: 

The federal tax credit, often referred to as the 30C tax credit, covers 30% of an EV charging station, necessary equipment, and installation costs. For non-residential installations, the IRS caps the tax credit at $30,000 in 2022. You claim the credit on your Federal tax return by completing form 8911. The Inflation Reduction Act Projects extended this tax credit through 12/31/2032.

Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Station Grants:

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MoDNR) offers grants to government and non-government entities of up to 80% of the cost to purchase, install, and maintain Level 2 and direct current fast charging (DCFC) stations at eligible locations. Eligible sites must install two DCFC stations with optional Level 2 charging stations. All EV charging stations must be publicly accessible.

Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Station Incentives - Ameren Missouri:

Ameren Missouri’s Charge Ahead program offers competitive incentives to non-residential customers for the installation of Level 2 EV charging stations or direct current fast charging (DCFC) stations at qualifying workplaces, multi-unit dwellings (MUDs), and public areas. Sites must be located in Ameren Missouri’s service territory and require no electrical upgrades. Incentives are available in the following amounts, or up to 50% of total project costs, whichever is less.
